The Petronas Performing Arts Group will present a dance-drama, Demang Lebar Daun, as part of its Malaysiana series aimed at preserving Malaysia’s traditional art forms.

The narrative of this dance-drama, adapted from Sejarah Melayu (W.S. Shellabear) and Sulatus Saladin (A. Samad Ahmad), tells the story of Demang Lebar Daun and his beloved wife, Tunku Puteri Cendani, who are still childless after seven years of marriage.
