As part of the French Art Festival, the Alliance Francaise will present ICARE, performance and workshop, by the Brumachon Dance Company.

Performance
ICARE is a 45 min solo choreographed by Claude Brumachon originally for the 50th Festival of Avignon. It is the culmination of 15 years work with Bruno Billaudeau (music) and Olivier Tessier (lighting).

ICARE represents a personal search towards a new gesture and a new way of considering the space. The solo is a challenge for the dancer who is alone on the stage without anyone to attract, rely on or be intoxicated by. On this occasion, it will be performed by Benjamin Lamarche.

Workshop
In addition to performing, the Brumachon Dance Company will conduct an ICARE dance workshop, organised by the Status & Welfare Network of MyDance Alliance.
