Pusaka – center for the study and documentation of traditional performance in Malaysia is proud to present Rombongan Mak Yong Cahaya Matahari of Kuala Besut, Terengganu. Led by the renowned Mak Yong actress Che Siti binti Dollah, the troupe will present an hour-long excerpt of the famous Mak Yong story, Anak Raja Gondang.

Mak Yong is a Malay dance-drama tradition found primarily in the Northeast Malaysian state of Kelantan and in the Pattani region of Southern Thailand. It encompasses elements of stylised dance, drama, music, singing and storytelling.
